Donations went towards the completion of the teacher's house and the renovation of the toilets
9 months ago Michael, Frieda and I traveled to Ghana to accompany the comparative competition between the primary school children of the village Apeyime and the children from Warnemünde. September 28, 2019 was undoubtedly an unforgettable day. Almost 1 year we prepared this day together with the International School ecolea from Warnemünde. Under the motto "Shaping the future - Helping friends - Acting in solidarity", ecolea organized a charity run for the sports project on June 13, 2019. On this day 400 students ran for Ghana, for the sports project, for the purchase of school materials, for the completion of the teacher's house in Apeyime --> report on the donation run. Unbelievable 4040 € were collected this way.
A large part of this sum could be used in the past months for the completion of the teacher's house. Patrick sent us a video on June 10, 2020 documenting the construction progress. The donations were also used to replace the doors to the restrooms and the vent pipes. The doors were so eaten away by termites that they had to be completely replaced.
We are very happy that the money arrived exactly where it was needed most. Many thanks to all who contributed with their donation!
